A Look Back at Pitt’s National Panhellenic Council: The Divine 9

 The Divine 9 are the nine historically Black Greek organizations that make up the National Panhellenic Council (NPHC). The current NPHC organizations at the University of Pittsburgh in 2022 are the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Omega Psi Fraternity Inc. , Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. The other organization in the NPHC is the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. This exhibit looks back on the founding and histories of five of these organizations at the University of Pittsburgh.
