An outstanding receiver, Larry Fitzgerald showcased his talent at the University of Pittsburgh from 2002 to 2003 before embarking on a successful professional career. During his time at Pitt, he made a significant impact, setting numerous records with 161 catches, 2,677 yards, and 34 touchdowns in just 26 games. His remarkable streak of scoring touchdowns in 18 consecutive games earned him an NCAA record. Additionally, he set multiple NCAA, Big East, and Pitt records. In 2003, despite facing tough defensive coverage every week, Fitzgerald excelled, leading the nation in receiving yards per game and touchdown catches. He received prestigious awards such as the Walter Camp Player of the Year and the Biletnikoff Award, becoming the first sophomore to achieve these honors. In the NFL, he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, earning numerous Pro Bowl selections and becoming one of the top receivers in league history, ranking second in both receiving yards and receptions. Fitzgerald was inducted into the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
