Description

Fletcher is regarded as one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of the University of Pittsburgh, having excelled from 1992 to 1996. During her time at Pitt, she amassed an impressive record, earning 14 first-team All-America honors and winning six Big East championships. Notably, Fletcher made history as the first woman at Pitt to secure an individual NCAA track and field title, winning the indoor triple jump in 1995, and later adding the indoor high jump championship in 1996. In addition to her athletic achievements, Fletcher demonstrated excellence in academics, being recognized as the 1996 Big East Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Before attending Pitt, Fletcher showcased her talents on an international stage, representing Guyana in the 1992 Olympics held in Barcelona. She was inducted into the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019.
